As an alternative to the Studebaker Lark, designed by Duncan MacRae, Torino based designer, Pietro Frua, on behalf of the Italian Importer, Renato Bornigia, created two styling exercises during 1960.
The cars were buit by Italsuisse for Carrozzeria Frua, in Torino( 1960, four door and two door, V8) and Carrozzeria Francis Lombardi (1960 Studebaker Lark four door V8), in Vercelli. Read more about the italian Studebaker here in our special.

In 1960 the entrepreneur and importer Renato Bornigia commissioned Pietro Frua and Francis Lombardi to carry out a project to mass-produce (1000 cars) a variant of the Studebaker Lark in 2-door coupe and 4-door sedan versions.
