Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Sport Berlina Ghia

In 1949 Carrozzeria Ghia presented this weighty sedan on the chassis of the 6C2500 at the Villa d’Este Concorso d’Eleganza. The length of the chassis, the need for internal space and above all the still unresolved use of the smooth side determines this result which today seems unsuccessful. The jury of the time was of a different opinion and awarded her two prizes.

Vehicle Overview

This award winning Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Sport Berlina body design was also used by Ghia to built the Plymouth XX 500 which won against Pinin Farina for a partnership contract with the Chrysler group.
