Vehicle Overview

The BMW Zagato Roadster, created by the Milanese atelier in just six weeks of work, takes up most of the lines of the Coupé, mixing the taste of Italian design with that of cars discovered overseas. Also designed by Norihiko Harada, the car stands out for the absence of the roof and the rear window, a solution that gives it a lower and sleeker line than the Coupé, and for the presence of two particular roll-bars (placed behind the headrests) stretched forward – with an almost wing-like design – and covered in brown leather. The original “double bubble”, distinctive style of Zagato cars, have been reinterpreted here, extending from the roll-bars to the end of the rear hood. The Roadster also features new five-spoke alloy wheels, the latter made to recall the profile of a propeller, a stylistic choice that recalls the common past in the aeronautical sector of BMW and Zagato.
