Fiat 1100E Supergioiello

Chassis

#331113

“Gioiello” means jewel: this is the name of a specific design line made by Michelotti in collaboration with Felice Mario Boano who, back then, was the design director at Ghia coachworks.

Vehicle Overview

The “Supergioiello” Fiat 1100E was launched by Ghia as a replacement of the previous “Gioiello” series. The car was shown at Villa d’Este concours d’elegance and at Fiera del Levante in Bari in 1949 and at Turin Motor Show in 1950. Only a handful units were made during the two years and only two survive today, with a similar yet not identical front grille layout, as usual with special coachbuilt models.
