Fiat Lampo

The Fiat Lampo based on the Punto designed by I.DE.A Institute.

Vehicle Overview

The Fiat Lampo: For the market launch of the Fiat Punto in 1994, the Fiat group asked I.DE.A Institute to reinterpret the Punto “theme” by building a static model for the Turin Motor Show. The Moncalieri based design firm I.DE.A. Institute responded with this concept coupé that include the Fiat family feeling. The Fiat Lampo body highilights the disposition of the volumes of the bonnet and its finely engraved ribbing. The side profile of the greenhouse develops very round shapes, which precedes the door and joins up with the volumes to the rear, which features long neon lights. The particularly characterised design features dimensions slightly larger than the standard Punto’s — 3895 mm in length by 1720 mm in width – while the height drops to 1270 mm. The body was designed in pressed aluminium to reduce weight.
