Fiat Tipo Zero

The Fiat Tipo Zero: the first design by Battista Farina.

Vehicle Overview

The Fiat Tipo Zero: Probably the first ever designed car by Battista “Pinin” Farina. The type “zero” owes its name to the fact that Agnelli saw this model as the reborn of Fiat. At Stabilimenti Farina, Battista was given the chance by Agnelli (who wasn’t very satisfied by Fiat’s Centro Stile proposal) to create a design for the “Zero”. Asked whether he preferred his own design or Fiat’s proposal, he boldly told Fiat founder Mr. Giovanni Agnelli, “I prefer this one because I designed it,” subsequently winning the commission. The rest is history…
