Part of a unique pair of concept cars, the Ghia Zig Concept debuted in 1990 with the Ghia Zag. Finished in mica black, the aerodynamic two-seat barchetta contrasted with the brilliant white finish of the Zag, a multi-purpose sports concept.
Together, Zig and Zag – both based on Ford Fiesta architecture – were envisioned as a potential system of sports cars, hatchbacks, sedans, pickups and delivery vans employing a shared lower door and body panels. The open topped car featured a truncated windscreen inspired by the sports racing cars of the past. Zig had 16-inch custom-cut tyres and bold wheels.
