The IKA Torino 380 Coupé was presented on November 30, 1966 at the Autódromo Juan y Oscar Gálvez, and was received by the public and journalists as the quintessential argentinian car. The people loved the combination of luxury and sportsmanship, and thanks to that it was a resounding success that gave rise to a local legend that even today is still alive. The car continued to be produced even after the dissolution of IKA (despite IKA belonged to Renault since 1975), being renamed as Renault Torino and produced until December 1981, the year in which with the end of the IKA Torino, a decline that started in 1978 with the disappearance of the General Motors of the country, and that had worsened with the disappearance of the Chrysler-Fevre Argentina thanks to the newly opened import, had finally reached its end.

The Torino was redesigned many times through its 15 years of production, reaching the point where in its latest model, the ZX / GR, the car barely maintained the original Pininfarina design, but still maintained its touch.
