Lancia Appia Lusso

At the 1958 Turin Motor Show Vignale presented, based on the Appia chassis, a 2-door sedan whose line recall clearly those of the 1957 convertible, which had a positive feedback the year before.

Vehicle Overview

This new model made by Vignale was put on sale only the following year and like all the other Appia derivatives, it was included into the official Lancia price list and sales network. This new model called “Appia Lusso” was a fast two-door sedan (top speed of 140 km/h) but at the same time very comfortable and spacious, able to carry four people with their luggage. As for most “fuoriserie” the “Lusso” was not cheap: price started at around 1,800,000 lire, almost double of the basic Appia. The Lusso was produced till 1961 in only 478 speciments, making it one of the most rare and desired Appia Models ever.
