Opel Maxx
The Opel Maxx concept car built by Bertone.
Vehicle Overview
The Opel Maxx was unveiled at the 1995 Geneva Motor Show. It was a concept built by Bertone for a city car powered by a three-cylinder gasoline engine that was very avant-garde for the time. Opel also announced that it would come to market, but it did not. The Opel Maxx is a concept of a city car. The body is made not of steel but of aluminum sheet metal, which is lighter and more modular. The various bulkheads are welded together to form a cell that is partially exposed but connected to the chassis, which is also made of aluminum. This helped keep the weight down, which, in running order, did not exceed 650 kg.
