The Salone dell’Automobile at the Fiera Campionaria di Milano, held from April 12 to 27, 1925, marked the 18th edition of Italy’s most prominent automotive exhibition. Hosted in the grand Palazzo dello Sport, the event gathered key players from the Italian automotive industry during a period of rapid innovation and economic optimism.

This edition was notable for the debut of several iconic models, including the Lancia Lambda, Alfa Romeo 1500, Fiat 509, and the elegant Diatto 20 A Schieppati. Prestigious coachbuilders like Ghia and Schieppati showcased finely crafted bodies that merged style with performance. The Alfa Romeo RL Super Sport Ghia and Fiat 519 Ghia stood out as highlights of the show, exemplifying the craftsmanship and design quality of the era.

A unique feature of 1925 was the Coppa Fiera di Milano, a race held at the Monza Autodrome during the fair. It was won by Alfieri Maserati driving a Diatto 30 Sport, underlining the strong link between automotive innovation and motorsport.

The 1925 Salone illustrated Italy’s ambition to lead in both industrial development and artistic design. With over 200 pages in its official catalogue, the event was a powerful display of progress and national pride.
