The Aston Martin EG, a bespoke masterpiece born from the collaboration between a discerning owner and the skilled artisans at ‘Quality Cars,’ stands as a testament to automotive exclusivity and craftsmanship. Commissioned in 2007 and bearing the initials of its proud owner, this extraordinary creation is based on the iconic Aston Martin Vanquish, reimagined in the timeless tradition of a true shooting brake. Crafted in the picturesque town of Vigonza by the esteemed coachbuilder founded in 1990, the Aston Martin EG boasts a four-seat body meticulously fashioned from a blend of aluminium and carbon fibre, under the visionary guidance of Francesco Boniolo. Drawing inspiration from Aston Martin’s classic ‘Coke-bottle-line’ silhouette, as seen in the revered 1968 DBS, Boniolo also found creative muse in the sleek aerodynamics of 1940s British fighter planes. A hallmark of practical luxury, the EG’s design extends to its elongated rear, lengthened by 600 millimetres from the donor Vanquish, now adorned with a practical hatchback for effortless access to the capacious luggage compartment. Ingeniously integrated rear doors seamlessly merge with the new body, a testament to Boniolo’s meticulous attention to detail. Step inside the Aston Martin EG, and you’re enveloped in a cocoon of indulgence. Rich lobster-colored leather upholstery by Pineider graces every surface, complemented by exquisite bamboo wood finishing adorning the doors, dashboard, and even the plush carpets underfoot. Above, the EG’s roof boasts a touch of innovation, featuring ‘Isolite’ glass that spans its entire length, offering both panoramic views and privacy at the touch of a button. Boniolo’s vision for the Aston Martin EG began with a meticulous 1/4 scale model, capturing the imagination of the client. Thus, the decision was made to bring this vision to life in full scale, with Quality Cars meticulously constructing the body around a steel tube frame to exacting specifications. With dimensions measuring 4700 millimetres in length, 1950 millimetres in width, and 1318 millimetres in height, the Aston Martin EG commands attention wherever it roams, a true embodiment of automotive excellence and individuality.
