Ferrari 212 Inter Coupé Vignale
Chassis
The Ferrari 212 Inter Coupé Vignale chassis 0163EL
Vehicle Overview
The Ferrari 212 Inter Coupé Vignale chassis 0163EL, sold by Joao A. Gaspar, the Ferrari importer in Portugal, was delivered to its first owner in Oporto in March of 1952. It showcases a distinctive design with a notchback style that combines the lower half of a Cabriolet body with a fixed hard-top. Over the years, it changed ownership multiple times and unfortunately, in 1955, it was involved in an accident. However, it was fully repaired and went on to participate in races in Lisbon during the late 1950s, albeit without much success. Interestingly, the car remained in the possession of Portuguese owners until the early 1990s when it was eventually sold to Germany. In Germany, the car underwent a complete restoration, yet it still remains a rare sight to behold.
