Fiat 1100-103 Coupé Allemano

The Fiat 1100 TV Coupé Allemano designed by Michelotti.

Vehicle Overview

The Fiat 1100 TV Coupé Allemano: At the 1953 Turin Auto Show Carrozzeria Allemano showed this special Fiat Nuova 1100. It featured a Giovanni Michelotti – designed cabriolet with a distinctive ‘shark-nose’ split grill, which is thought to have been the inspiration for Giorgetto Giugiaro’s design for the Ferrari 250 GT SWB Bertone coupe. Many articles were written about the Michelotti-designed Fiat, and after the Turin show, Serafino Allemano showed the cabriolet in the 7th Concorso d’Eleganza at Cortina d’Ampezzo, where the design won first in class. Two Fiat coupes and five cabriolets were built by Allemano during 1953 but only one coupe and two cabriolets are known to exist today.
