The Fiat 1400 Monza by Carrozzeria Riva.
The Fiat 1400 Monza, crafted by Carrozzeria Riva from Merate, made its debut at the prestigious 1951 Turin Auto Salon. Garnering acclaim, it secured the esteemed prize of honor at the 1951 Concorso d’Eleganza del Lido di Venezia. Powered by a 45-horsepower engine, this marvel of automotive artistry commanded a price tag of approximately $2,100 at the time of its release. Distinguished by a striking two-tone paint scheme and Carrozzeria Riva’s iconic cross-star front grille, the Fiat 1400 Monza bore a design reminiscent of the revered Cisitalia 202. Notably, Riva also applied a similar aesthetic to an Alfa Romeo chassis based on the 6C 2500 SS, resulting in the creation of the “La Serenissima” model, further solidifying Riva’s legacy in automotive design. It is now located in Brazil.
