Jaguar XK140 Zagato

In 1956 Italian Jaguar dealer Guido Modiano contacted Zagato to rebody one of his XK140s. The result of the Zagato’s work was so superb, that it was showcased at the 1957 Paris Auto Salon.

Vehicle Overview

The Jaguar XK140 Zagato came into existence in 1956 when Italian Jaguar dealer Guido Modiano approached Zagato Milano to redesign one of his Jaguar XK140s. Zagato Milano unveiled the car at the 1957 Paris Auto Salon, garnering attention. Subsequently, a brochure was created for Zagato XK150 conversions, resulting in the completion of one car showcased at the 1958 Geneva Auto Show. Regrettably, the project met its demise after the second car, signaling the end. Over time, both Anglo-Italian Jaguars vanished, with one lost forever. Notably, the Jaguar XK140 Zagato earned 2nd prize at the Concorso d’Eleganza di Cortina d’Ampezzo in 1957.
