The prestigious Carrozzieri Italiani Car of the Year 2024 title has been claimed by the stunning Touring Veloce12, marking yet another victory for Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera. The competition, decided by the votes of our Instagram followers, witnessed a series of thrilling matchups between some of the most iconic and cutting-edge cars from renowned Italian coachbuilders.

The tournament began with exciting first-round battles:

    1. Italdesign Asse di Picche in Movimento faced off against the Italdesign Quintessenza, with the Quintessenza emerging victorious.

    2. The Morgan Midsummer took on Michael Jordan’s Automobili Pininfarina Battista Targamerica one-off, where the Midsummer triumphed.

    3. Bertone GB110 went head-to-head with the Touring Veloce12, with the Veloce12 winning decisively.

    4. Lastly, the Fiat Topolino by Garavini squared off against the Alpine AGTZ Twin Tail Zagato, with the Zagato model taking the win.

In the semifinals, the competition became even fiercer. The Italdesign Quintessenza faced the Morgan Midsummer, where the latter advanced to the final. On the other side, the Touring Veloce12 took on the Alpine AGTZ Twin Tail Zagato, securing its place in the final round.

The grand final was an intense and closely contested battle between the Touring Veloce12 and the Morgan Midsummer. With just 52% of the votes, the Touring Veloce12 clinched the title, narrowly defeating the Morgan Midsummer, which garnered 48% of the votes.

This marks the third time a model by Touring Superleggera has won the Carrozzieri Italiani Car of the Year award. The Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, designed by Alfa Romeo’s Centro Stile but built by Touring, won in 2023, and the Touring Arese RH95 took home the honor in 2021.

Congratulations to Touring Superleggera and the Veloce12 for their exceptional craftsmanship and innovation, continuing to push the boundaries of automotive design and excellence in Italy’s rich coachbuilding tradition.
