Abarth – 2000 Scorpione
The Abarth 2000 Scorpione was designed by Pininfarina and unveiled at the Brussels Motor Show.
Vehicle Overview
The car was designed by Filippo Sapino. The light unit in the front section of the vehicle consisted of six headlights that could rotate according to the driver’s needs. As engine, a Fiat / Abarth Tipo 236 2.0 was mounted centrally coupled to a Weber carburettor and managed by a five-speed manual gearbox that delivered 220 hp of power. This ensured a top speed of 270 km/h. To contain the overall weight, the car body was built in fiberglass and wrapped around a tubular frame in a spaceframe configuration.
