Alfa Romeo 2000 Coupé Praho

Chassis

#AR10205-00001

Presented as a one-off at the Turin Motor Show in 1960, the “Praho” is a prototype for a hypothetical Alfa Romeo luxury coupe, built on the first chassis of the new 2000 Sprint.

Vehicle Overview

After the show, the prototype remained in the Touring warehouses until the closure of the business, when it was sold to the Minetti dealership in Milan. After forty years it was bought by a Singapore collector and in 2010 it returned to Italy, where it was repainted to the original dark green color. The name of the prototype is inspired by Malaysian ships with concave tail, such as the characteristic rear window of this car, while inside the avant-garde solution of the central dashboard, clearly aeronautical inspiration, is adopted.
