The Alfa Romeo 1900 Sport Spider also known as the roofless version of the 2000 Sportiva Coupe, takes the coupé’s mechanicals in full but with a very different body similar to that of the coeval Arnolt-Bristol; also designed by Franco Scaglione and made by Bertone.  The Alfa Romeo 1900 Sportiva Spider’s sharp front end designed by Franco Scaglione at Bertone, has a low opening for cooling that incorporates the shield but not the Alfa Romeo badge, placed on the hood, and circular headlights placed on top of the fenders, which are not fairing. The smooth flank features an original finned underbody to better dissipate heat from the side exhaust and a “cut-out” in front of the door to vent hot air from the front brakes. Placed on the rounded tail are the license plate holder and headlights while in place of the trunk is an aluminum fuel filler cap. The interior is simple and essential, devoted to sportiness. The seats are upholstered in dark vinyl while upholstery on the floor and transmission tunnel is absent. The steering is on the right, and behind the three-spoke aluminum steering wheel with wooden crown are housed the main instruments, with the Jaeger mechanical tachometer in the center, the tachometer/speedometer on the left, and fuel level, water and oil temperature gauges on the right. Secondary circular controls and gauges are arranged in the center of the dashboard painted body color and equipped with a handhold in front of the passenger seat. The windows of the Alfa Romeo 1900 Sportiva Spider are all Plexiglas and slope toward the rear.
