Vehicle Overview
The Nardi-Danese Marco Cabriolet: a superb four-seater convertible built in Turin by Bertone for Count Rudy Crespi, the well-known Italio-Brazilian billionaire. It is truly a unique and very high-class speciment not only in the bodywork but also in the mechanical part. The chassis built entirely by Nardi & Danese, the well-known specialists in custom-built cars, is of a special design, rigidly structured, made of welded chromomolybdenum steel tubes: equipped with a 1990 cc in-line 8-cylinder engine, with two carburetors, giving a power output of 80 hp. The bodywork designed by Mario Revelli of Beaumont, Bertone’s masterpiece, paired with rich materials and finish with a mark of great distinction. The paintjob was “London smoke” gray and repainted pearl white for the 1952 film “Cinque poveri in automobile” The interior is entirely boar leather. Behind the backs of the front seats are placed two very elegant nécessaires, one for ladies and the other for bars; and in the tail are large suitcases also made of wild boar. The Nardi-Danese Marco Cabriolet weighs 1200kg, and can reach 140 km/h.
