Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 S Cabriolet
Chassis
The “Extralusso” model of Stabilimenti Farina is the result of Giovanni Michelotti’s pencil, who on this car experiences a very particular style, characterized by the massive front grille with horizontal strips. This solution will not have a follow for Alfa Romeo, but in 1947 it is also used on Fiat and Lancia models.
Vehicle Overview
A handful of specimens are set up on the Alfa Romeo Super Sport short chassis and on the Sport chassis, cabriolet and fastback coupe versions. This specimen, one of two still existing, in the particular aluminised blue color, is equipped with a rich dashboard designed by Mario Revelli di Beaumont, with a special steering wheel patented by him and a rudimentary prototype of a “board computer”.
