Ares Panther Evo

An evolution of the Ares Progetto Uno, the Panther Evo is updated in design and technical solutions. The base is still the Lamborghini Huracan.

Vehicle Overview

The Ares Panther Evo is the evolution of the already stunning ProgettoUno Panther based on the Lamborghini Huracán. Compared to the Progetto Uno, the Panther Evo sports a more modern and dynamic line, with all-new headlight clusters and refined aerodynamic solutions-such as updated air intakes above the engine compartment-that bring the Cx value to 0.329 (at 250 km/h). The body, made entirely of carbon fiber, conceals a carbon and aluminum hybrid chassis: both solutions allow the best balance between mass containment (dry weight is 1,423 kg) and stress resistance. At the rear, in addition to the wafer-thin LED lights-which replace the Corvette C7-derived ones, perhaps the most talked-about element of Project One-the new exhaust system with dual center tailpipes stands out. Changes in the cabin as well, with a redesigned interior and upholstery in Nappa leather and Alcantara, like the original Pantera. In the center of the tunnel, then, is the same H-shift lever as the previous model: this is not a manual transmission, but a “retro” solution for handling the Lamborghini Ldf dual-clutch, seven-speed automatic transmission. This is easily guessed from the presence of paddles behind the steering wheel. On a technical level, the powertrain remains that of the base car, the Lamborghini Huracán EVO: it is the 5.2-liter naturally aspirated 10-cylinder V-cylinder tuned by Ares Modena. Specific tuning work has achieved an impressive 650 hp at 8,250 rpm and more than 600 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm delivered to all four wheels. These values allow the car to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds, for 325 km/h top speed. Coupled with such high performance, a carboceramic braking system makes a fine showing behind the wheels, 20 inches at the front axle and 21 at the rear. Here, a mechanical self-locking differential maximizes traction even in the most extreme driving.
