The Aston Martin V12 Coupé Heritage TWINS by Zagato.
The Aston Martin V12 Zagato Coupé Heritage TWINS by R-Reforged constitute a limited production series commissioned to mark the centenary of Carrozzeria Zagato. The project was executed in collaboration between Zagato and R-Reforged, a subsidiary of AF Racing AG, with production undertaken at a dedicated facility in Warwick, United Kingdom. The series comprised nineteen matched pairs of vehicles, each consisting of a coupé and a speedster, resulting in a total of thirty-eight units. Both variants are based on the platform of the Aston Martin V12 Vantage, retaining the underlying aluminium architecture and front-mounted, naturally aspirated 5.9-litre V12 engine. Mechanical revisions were applied to increase power output to 600 horsepower. These included a re-engineered intake system in aluminium and a bespoke titanium exhaust assembly. Transmission is via a six-speed automated manual unit, sending power to the rear wheels through a limited-slip differential. The braking system consists of carbon-ceramic discs with six-piston calipers at the front and four-piston units at the rear. Body panels are fabricated entirely in carbon fibre and finished to individual client specifications. The coupé features Zagato’s characteristic “double-bubble” roof, while the speedster adopts a twin-faired rear deck treatment with integrated roll protection. Active aerodynamic devices, including a retractable rear spoiler, are fitted to both configurations. The visual language maintains continuity with the earlier 2011 V12 Zagato, with alterations in surface resolution, detailing, and material execution. Interior appointments are bespoke to each commission, with optional use of Bridge of Weir leather, contrast stitching, carbon fibre inlays, and paint-to-sample exterior finishes. Instrumentation, seating, and control interfaces remain closely aligned with those of the V12 Vantage donor vehicle, albeit re-trimmed in accordance with each vehicle’s specification brief. The V12 Zagato Heritage TWINS were offered exclusively as paired vehicles, and were not sold individually. Pricing was approximately £1.75 million per pair, excluding local taxes and delivery charges. The production volume—nineteen pairs—was chosen to reference the nineteen examples of the original DB4 GT Zagato manufactured in the early 1960s. Ownership and chassis allocations are private. Vehicles were allocated directly by R-Reforged to a pre-selected clientele, with no public registry maintained. The series exists as a controlled, commemorative exercise within contemporary coachbuilding.
