De Tomaso Biguà

The De Tomaso Biguà, is a sports car produced by the Italian automaker De Tomaso from 1993 to 2004. The car was named after the Guarani word for “hawk”, and was designed by Marcello Gandini.

Vehicle Overview

The De Tomaso Biguà is the concept car which gave birth to the Qvale Mangusta. The car, designed by Marcello Gandini, was powered by a mid-mounted Ford V8 engine, initially with a displacement of 4.6 liters and later increased to 5.0 liters. The engine was paired with a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission. The De Tomaso Biguà based Qvale Mangusta was not a commercial success for De Tomaso, with only around 50 units produced each year. However, it was well-received by critics and enthusiasts for its stylish design and impressive performance. Today, the Mangusta is considered a rare and collectible sports car.
