Ferrari F512 M
The Ferrari F512 M: the Testarossa heir.
Vehicle Overview
The Ferrari F512 M was unveiled in 1994 as the latest evolution of the Testarossa. The aesthetic innovations done by Pininfarina, concerned above all the front (with redesigned grille and visible headlights with a Plexiglas cover, rather than retractable as on the previous series), the bumpers (new), the rear light clusters (double, circular and without grille) and the rims (modular with a 5-spoke propeller design). Inside the Ferrari F512 M some details changed, while from the technical point of view the innovations were greater. The engine power grew to 440 hp and the performance, thanks also to the low weight of 60 kg, spoke of a speed of 315 km / h and acceleration in 4.68 seconds. The sprint from 0 to 1000m was covered in 22’7 seconds. ABS became standard. Today it remains one of the most sought after Ferraris, both due to the small number of examples produced (limited to 500), and the fact that it is the last Ferrari produced with the “flat” 12-cylinder (whose first presentation dates back to Ferrari 365 GT4 BB presented in 1973), and the last to mount this split at the rear. The F512 M came out of the list in 1996, to make room for the 550 Maranello. In total about 10,000 cars were produced between Testarossa, 512 TR and F 512 M.
