The Fiat Abarth 500 Coupé Pininfarina: With the Nuova 500, Fiat consolidated its market position in the small car segment starting in 1957. Two specialists from the Turin car industry immediately exploited this basis. Abarth and Pinin Farina. Already in the year of the presentation of the New 500, this little berlinetta was a sensation at the Turin Motor Show. Connoisseurs immediately noticed that the designers had transferred some details of the large and fast Ferrari models to this two seater of only 3.30 meters: for example, the dashboard borrowed part of the spirit of the older sister, Furthermore, this could may have been the first Fiat 500 equipped with the Abarth kit. The history of this little gem is unique: it is still in the hands of the family of its first owner who collected it directly from Pinin Farina in 1958. The owner who was staying in Europe between Cascais, Paris and Brussels had it slightly modified with new bumpers and with an interior completely rebuilt with all the details, handles, dashboard, saddlery (which was bright red) identical to that of the Ferrari PF of the time.  Its exterior color went from pastel blue to metallic and the first 12 “elektron wheels produced by Amadori / Campagnolo for Abarth were adopted. Ten years later, after traveling only 7000 kilometers, it was put to rest for about half a century. The Fiat Abarth 500 Coupé Pininfarina was presented to the public for the first time on the occasion of the 2021 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.
