The Fiat Uno Scioneri was a special edition of the popular Fiat Uno, produced by the Italian coachbuilder Scioneri in the 1980s. At that time, Scioneri, like many other renowned Italian car design houses, focused on creating more luxurious versions of standard Fiat models, without altering the mechanics. The Fiat Uno Scioneri was initially based on the S trim and came with a range of upgraded features, including Alcantara seats, power windows, a tachometer, a digital clock, and heat-reflective glass. Additionally, it featured a check control system, enhancing its convenience and safety features. Externally, the Scioneri was distinguished by contrasting side stripes and decals bearing the Scioneri name, which set it apart from standard Fiat models. Metallic paints were extremely popular, and some colors were specific to the Scioneri versions, adding a further layer of exclusivity to the car. It was offered in both 45 S and 55 S versions, the latter being available in a five-door configuration. With the 1985 facelift, the Uno Scioneri adopted the SL trim as its base. This update added even more luxury touches, such as central locking and a split-folding rear seat, improving practicality for families or those needing extra storage space. Externally, the Scioneri decal was replaced with a more durable plastic badge, signaling a shift towards a more refined aesthetic. The second generation of the Uno also had its own Scioneri variant, maintaining the tradition of elevating standard Fiat models with premium features. Alongside the Uno, Scioneri also created special editions of other Fiat models, such as the Panda, known as the “Valentina,” and the Ritmo. These models, like the Uno Scioneri, were fitted with Alcantara interiors, emphasizing luxury and comfort. The Uno Scioneri remains a notable example of how Italian coachbuilders added flair and sophistication to mainstream cars.
