Gordon-Keeble GT
One car that stands out among the creations of the 1960’s is the Gordon Keeble, produced by a small English factory, relying on a Chevrolet Corvette engine and Bertone styling for its success.
Vehicle Overview
The Turin coachbuilder dressed the chassis with a roomy four-seater coupé body which was both simple and well-balanced. Together with the Ferrari 250 GT, the Gordon Keeble signalled the establishment of certain design features as Bertone style. The car featured distinctive stylistic motifs such as very smooth, tight wings, a greenhouse with all-round glass, with very slender pillars and the almost complete absence of frieze work or decoration. The prototype was put on show at the 1960 Geneva Motor Show and became something of a design inspiration, with elements visible in the following model, the Gordon GT, of which 93 units were produced.
