In 1956 Italian Jaguar dealer Guido Modiano contacted Zagato to rebody one of his XK140s. The result of the Zagato’s work was so superb, that it was showcased at the 1957 Paris Auto Salon.
The Jaguar XK140 Zagato was born in 1956 after italian Jaguar dealer Guido Modiano contacted Zagato Milano to rebody one of his Jaguar XK140s. The car was showcased by Zagato Milano at the 1957 Paris Auto Salon. Afterwards a brochure was made up for Zagato XK150 conversions of which one car was completed and shown at the 1958 Geneva Auto Show. Unfortunately, the second car marked the end of the project, and within the coming years both Anglo-Italian Jags were lost, one never to return.
The Jaguar XK140 Zagato won the 2nd prize at the Concorso d’Eleganza di Cortina d’Ampezzo in 1957.
