The Lancia Appia Coupé Prototype pre-series showcases several distinct differences from the final production version, particularly in its lighting and grille design. The prototype features round tail lights supported by a prominent chrome bracket. These were eventually replaced in the definitive model by dihedral lights integrated into the more pronounced fins. Additionally, the final production version introduced additional red lights mounted just above the bumper, enhancing visibility and modernizing the car’s rear profile. The front end of the pre-series prototype also reveals noticeable differences from the final version. The grille design appears modified in the prototype, setting it apart from the grille used in the production model. The round taillights of the prototype were replaced with rectangular ones in the definitive version, further distinguishing the prototype from its final iteration.
