At the 1934 Milan Motor Show a new chassis for the Augusta was presented. The 234 type specially conceived for coachbuilders retained the previous mechanical characteristics but with some novelties.

The Lancia Augusta Berlina, chassis number 341292, is a uniquely crafted vehicle by Viotti dating back to 1934. Believed to be a singular example, with no known “twin” cars, it stands as the sole surviving specimen. Diverging from the few other Augusta models bodied by Viotti, an atelier that prioritized formal elegance and aerodynamic resistance, inspired by collaborations with Mario Revelli di Beaumont. In the case of the Lancia Augusta Berlina, chassis number 341292, while maintaining proportions and volume balance akin to other Lancia-bodied sedans, the lines are noticeably softer and more seamlessly integrated, showcasing a higher level of detail, a characteristic achievable by a smaller workshop. The car boasts a two-tone brown-beige paint finish, complemented by spoked wheels and a grille matching the lighter color. The interior features beige cloth upholstery with tonally matched lacquered wood finishes.
