Lancia Flavia Super Sport

Chassis

#820.050-000004 #820.050-001002

In 1967 Zagato proposed a new interpretation of the Flavia Sport born in 1962.

Vehicle Overview

The first prototype of this sports car, on a new shortened chassis, had the 1800 engine, the second instead, presented by Zagato at the 1968 Turin Motor Show and painted yellow, had the more powerful two-liter engine. The project did not include any mechanical modifications compared to the standard Coupé, and this led to careful aerodynamic research on the bodywork, designed by Ercole Spada. Despite the good conditions, the critical situation of the Lancia decreed the abandonment of the project, and the two prototypes were left without follow-up.
