Plymouth – Explorer Special

.

Vehicle Overview

The Plymouth Explorer was one in a series of cars that Chrysler collaborated with Italian coach builder, Ghia, on building. They were designed with the input of Virgil Exner who had a big hand in their Forward Look styling that debuted in 1955. It was lower and sleeker than any other Plymouth of the time, although it still retained- it was Plymouth through-and-through. It retained the flathead six-cylinder engine of its more prosaic stablemates.
