TVR Trident Spyder
The TVR Trident Spyder designed by Trevor Fiore for Carrozzeria Fissore.
Vehicle Overview
The TVR Trident Spyder: In March 1965, TVR presented its new Trident models at the Geneva Motor Show: a coupé and this convertible. The car used the chassis of the Grantura Mark III while the steel and aluminum bodywork, made by Carrozzeria Fissore, was designed Trevor Fiore. A Ford 4.7-liter V8 engine was installed under the hood. Thanks also to the enthusiasm shown by the US distributors Dick Monnich and Jack Griffith, a total of 4 prototypes were built, one of which was this TVR Trident Spyder. However, Trident never reached serial production as TVR was soon overwhelmed by the financial crisis that caused it to go bankrupt.
