Vanden Plas Princess

The Vanden Plas Princess was a four-door sedan produced by the British Motor Corporation (BMC) under the traditional Vanden Plas name from 1959 to 1964.

Vehicle Overview

The Vanden Plas Princess from 1961 had all-new bodywork by Pininfarina in the style of the Austin Westminster and a slightly more powerful 120 bhp (88 kW) engine. The exterior dimensions were the same, but the wheelbase was extended by 2″ (51 mm). As a result, the wheel arches no longer extended as far into the interior, and more space was available there. The car reached a top speed of 169 km/h with lower gasoline consumption of 15.4 l / 100 km. In 1964, the Princess 4 Litre R replaced the Princess 3 Litre.
