De Tomaso Vallelunga Fissore

The De Tomaso Vallelunga was presented as a concept car at the Turin Motor Show in 1964. De Tomaso initially intended to sell the Vallelunga project to some other car group, primarily Ford. However, no car manufacturer was interested in the purchase, so De Tomaso decided to build the car at its own expense. Production of the model was then assigned to Ghia. The design was instead the work of the Fissore bodywork.

Vehicle Overview

The De Tomaso Vallelunga berlinetta which its birth was a little perplex because it was first unveiled by Fissore at the 1964 Turin Motor Show, and the year after, without any substantial dimensional and stylistic variations at the Ghia stand. Of course, his episode causes anger to Mario Fissore, head of the technical office, by seeing one of his creations exhibited under the sign of a competing brand.
