Ferrari 599 Fiorano

The Ferrari 599 Fiorano designed by Pininfarina.

Vehicle Overview

The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, introduced in 2006, represented a key advancement in Ferrari’s lineup as a high-performance grand tourer. Known internally as the F141, it replaced the 575M Maranello and served as the brand’s flagship front-engine, two-seat model. Named after its 5,999 cc (6.0 L) V12 engine, the Fiorano Circuit, and Ferrari’s classic Gran Turismo Berlinetta lineage, the 599 GTB seamlessly blends luxury and performance. Under the hood, the 599 GTB Fiorano is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 engine that produces 612 horsepower at 7,600 RPM and 608 Nm (448 lb-ft) of torque at 5,600 RPM. This engine, derived from the Enzo supercar, is mated to either a six-speed manual or Ferrari’s F1-style automated manual transmission. This formidable power allows the 599 GTB to accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 3.3 seconds, with a top speed exceeding 205 mph, making it one of the fastest production cars of its time. Designed by Pininfarina under the direction of Jason Castriota, the 599 GTB combines sleek, modern aesthetics with highly optimized aerodynamics. One of its distinctive design elements is the pair of sail panels flanking the rear window. These panels direct airflow toward the rear nolder, enhancing stability at high speeds. The bodywork is crafted to reduce drag while maintaining downforce, ensuring the car remains composed and controlled even at its high-speed capabilities. Inside, the 599 GTB Fiorano emphasizes luxury, featuring a driver-centric cockpit with high-quality leather, carbon fiber, and advanced technology. The seats are sculpted for comfort during long drives, while still holding the driver in place during spirited driving. The 599 GTB Fiorano remained in production until 2012, when it was succeeded by the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. Its legacy endures as one of Ferrari’s most celebrated grand tourers, combining raw power, elegant design, and advanced engineering, showcasing the brand’s dedication to pushing the limits of both performance and luxury.
