The Fiat 527 S Ardita 2500 Bertone.
This Fiat 527 S Ardita 2500 designed by Mario Revelli di Beaumont is the result of aerodynamic research and characterized by tapered lines, a large panoramic windshield and headlights integrated into the car body. It was Bertone‘s debut at the Milano Auto Show in 1934 This car that signalled a clear move towards new aesthetic criteria can trace it origins to a 1934 project by Count Mario Revelli di Beaumont, an illustrious pioneer of car design. He created an impressive four-door saloon of rounded line for the Fiat 527S Ardita chassis and its six-cylinder 2516 cc engine, which produced 60 hp at 3800 rpm. The car had fared rear wings, a long bonnet incorporating headlights and made a first attempt at a panoramic windscreen; the small third volume at the rear was by then an integral part of the body and acted as a boot. The Fiat Ardita 2500, which was only produced for two years until 1936, had a 3170 mm wheelbase, a kerb weight of 1450 kg and a maximum speed of 115 km/h.
