The Fiat 750 Spider Moretti, introduced in 1961, is a remarkable showcase of Italian automotive craftsmanship. Built on the Fiat 600 D platform, this model was designed by the esteemed Giovanni Michelotti, who successfully developed two distinct versions—one for Moretti and another for Vignale. Despite sharing some components, such as the rear windows to reduce production costs, each version maintained its unique and recognizable identity. Moretti expanded the 750 line to include a berlinetta and a coupé, with the spider offering the option of a removable hardtop. Throughout its production run, which saw around fifty units made, two series of the 750 Moretti were produced. From 1963, the model featured a faux aluminum grille on the nose, adding a modern touch to its classic design. Built on Fiat 600 mechanicals, the 750 Spider was not only visually appealing but also technically refined. It featured a tuned engine that produced 41 bhp—12 horsepower more than the standard Fiat 600. This enhancement provided a spirited driving experience, complementing the car’s elegant exterior.
