The Lancia Flaminia was launched in 1958 and was the replacement for the Aurelia. It was available throughout its production as a saloon (berlina) and coupé, and cabriolet.
The Lancia Flaminia GT: The hand-crafted, aluminium bodied cabriolet, GT and GTL coupés from Touring of Milan were considerably more expensive than the Berlina models but the designs epitomised the style and design flair of the finest motoring designers of their time. With double wishbones, coil springs and shock absorbers featuring on the new model, the car’s performance was nimble and the ride comfort was superior against many of its rivals. The Flaminia’s engine was a continuation of the Aurelia’s and world’s first production V6. Mounted longitudinally, the power was delivered via a rear mounted four-speed transaxle.
