The Lancia Gamma Olgiata is a unique shooting brake crafted by Pininfarina. Based on a second series Gamma, it features a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder boxer engine with electronic fuel injection, delivering 140 horsepower. The car’s standout design includes a sporty three-door wagon body, a small spoiler atop the rear hatch, and blacked-out rear pillars that blend seamlessly with the tinted windows, enhancing its sleek and lightweight rear profile. At the front, the Olgiata is distinguished by protruding headlights, a unique grille, and a redesigned bumper compared to standard models. Its striking Gold Metallic exterior pairs beautifully with the beige plaid fabric interior, exuding a classic yet sophisticated charm. The 15-inch wheels, similar to those used on armored Fiat Cromas until the late ’90s, add to its distinctive look. This one-of-a-kind vehicle was sold and registered years after its initial presentation. It has only accumulated around 1,000 kilometers and is now owned by a Lombard collector who maintains it meticulously, treating it as a cherished classic. It’s important not to confuse the Olgiata with another unique Lancia Shooting Brake, also built on the Gamma Coupé platform but featuring a different design with prominent rear pillars. Regrettably, the Olgiata never saw mass production. Its beautiful lines and innovative design might have found success in the market. In addition to this shooting brake version, Pininfarina also created a Spider and a sedan variant, both based on the standard Gamma Coupé. The Olgiata remains a stunning example of automotive design, embodying the creative spirit of Pininfarina and the engineering excellence of Lancia.
