Lancia Mizar
The Lancia Mizar by Michelotti seated four people, and had four separate gull-wing doors for easy access.
Vehicle Overview
The Lancia Mizar is based on the Lancia Beta 1800, and made its debut at the 1974 Turin Auto Show. Built by Giovanni Michelotti’s carrozzeria company with safety concerns and passenger comfort in mind. To make other drivers alert, the exterior was painted light orchid. It was shown also at the 1974 Geneva Motor Show. Giovanni Michelotti was one of the most eclectic and prolific designers ever. He had no fixed stylistic features to repeat endlessly and was able to adapt easily to the image of the company that commissioned him to design and to production requirements. The Lancia Mizar inspired also the Lancia Beta Felber FF one-off.
