Following an agreement signed with the renowned Italian design house Bertone in April 1962, this elegant show car was penned by the legendary designer Giorgetto Giugiaro. The Luce 1500 was conceived as part of a comprehensive stylistic renewal of Mazda’s range, spearheaded by Toyo Kogyo of Japan. Drawing inspiration from Bertone’s innovative Executive project, Giorgetto Giugiaro crafted the Luce 1500 as an experimental four-door saloon that combined modern aesthetics with functional engineering. The vehicle was powered by a 1.5-litre engine, showcasing Mazda’s commitment to blending performance with sophisticated design.
