The Michelotti Pura, unveiled at the Turin Auto Show in 1988, was conceived as a sleek two-seat, road-going race car. This futuristic prototype was the brainchild of Edgardo Michelotti, with key styling contributions from Tateo Uchida. The car’s design focused on performance and innovation, reflecting a clear vision of the future of sports cars at the time. One of the standout features of the Pura is its distinctive body, which was crafted entirely from fiberglass. This material helped keep the car’s weight down, a crucial factor for enhancing its performance capabilities.
