Seat Toledo

The Seat Toledo was introduced in 1991 as a partial replacement for the Seat Málaga. It was the Spanish manufacturer’s first passenger car developed entirely together with Volkswagen. Based on the second series of the Volkswagen Golf, it was a three-box sedan with the special feature of a tailgate, with a commercial placement between segments C and D.

Vehicle Overview

The Seat Toledo was a good commercial success, and in 1992 it also won the “Towing Oscar,” an award from “Auto caravan news” magazine given to the car on the market that was found to be best equipped for towing. Designed by Italdesign Giugiaro, a facelift was carried out in 1996 in which the bumpers, grille and other exterior and interior details were modified; direct-injection Diesel engines were also introduced.
