Vehicle Overview

The Italdesign DaVinci embodies a visionary concept for a Gran Turismo vehicle propelled entirely by electric power. Blending athleticism with refined elegance, both in its exterior contours and interior layout, it firmly establishes itself within the premium automotive segment. With dimensions measuring 4,981mm in length and 2,124mm in width, it comfortably accommodates four occupants. Its 2,900mm wheelbase and minimized overhangs underscore its sporty orientation, further accentuated by a ground clearance of just 119mm. Designed by the Italdesign Innovation Design Department under the leadership of Filippo Perini, the concept prioritizes adaptability for potential series production across various brands. While incorporating some ‘exotic’ features typical of show cars, such as expansive gullwing doors facilitating access to both front and rear seats simultaneously, as well as rear optical units and aerodynamic lateral tailfins integrated into the doors, it retains a practical design approach. Developed entirely at the Moncalieri site in Italy, the Italdesign DaVinci showcases innovative engineering solutions. Notably, the front of the vehicle eschews a traditional radiator grille in favor of an integrated air intake system on the bumper, optimizing airflow. A generously sized dark-colored splitter enhances road grip, contributing to the DaVinci’s performance prowess. At the rear, the design pays homage to the Italian tradition of Gran Turismo cars, featuring a truncated tail that seamlessly merges elegant aesthetics with aerodynamic efficiency. An active spoiler, body-colored and sleekly tapered, crowns the ensemble, further enhancing the vehicle’s dynamic profile.
