BMW 1600 GT
This BMW 1600 GT produced for only 2 years, from June 1967 to August 1968, was bodied by a famous Italian designer, Pietro Frua, who designed some of the most beautiful specimens in the world.
Vehicle Overview
The BMW 1600 GT : In addition to the “Italian” style by Pietro Frua that makes this car a small ferrarina with a German heart, particular attention has been devoted to the 1600 cc engine that delivers 105 hp on just 960 kg. German magazines, describe it as a fast car fun to drive. Of 1200 only a very limited number of surviving BMW 1600 GT, around one hundred survived. That made the restoration complicated, even some missing parts have been reconstructed purposely because they do not exist. For example, the BMW front grille cannot be found, as well as the “Pietro Frua” logo with a red background, positioned on the sides and many other details that at the time had been manufactured specifically for this model.
