Jaguar XK150 Bertone

The Jaguar XK150 was produced by Bertone in a mini-series of three automobiles, this coupé was based on the XK 150 and was inspired by subtle elegance. The bodyside was characterized by sculpted lines coming from the front fender, the greenhouse was shortened but was also very light and airy, almost a classic Bertone signature at the time.

Vehicle Overview

Alongside the Aston Martin DB2/4 and the Maserati 3500 GT, the same year saw the unveiling of a Jaguar-based prototype, the XK 150 designed by Scaglione. As in the case of the other experimental models, the English number also stood out for its sporty personality and simple, tight styling. The slim tail and imposing front view which conceals a powerful Jaguar engine are joined by smooth full wings. Close up the lateral ridges recall the styling of the Maserati 3500 GT also built by Bertone. This was a car inspired by the style of the English aristocracy, with their love of luxury and speed, without ignoring the influence of the American school of design.
