From the large scale production of the Giulietta to a one-off, the Maserati 3500 GT Coupé. As for the Aston Martin DB2/4, which was presented in the same year, the new Maserati received a very favourable response at the international shows.
The prototype featured some stylistic elements derived from the B.A.T. project, but also some motifs unusual for the Bertone repertoire. The overall balance was handled in a new way, with the car’s centre of gravity towards the front. The tapered line of the rear is linked to the front bonnet with a deep ridge, which, starting from the doors, creates a generous, imposingly long bonnet. The engine is a powerful six-cylinder Maserati, 260 Hp 3485 cc. which goes up to 230 km/h.
